For every 10mg of anthocyanin consumed daily by the study participants, they weighed 100 grams less, the researchers found. 100 grams may not seem like much to you, but they can accumulate quickly.
2. They always have a bottle of water on hand
Replace your soft drink with water and you will see the results in your waist. Research in the Journal of Nutrition has shown that consumers of soft drinks have 10% more visceral fat, that is, the abdominal fat hidden around organs, compared to those who avoid soft drinks. In a study by the International Journal of Obesity, people who drank more water gained less weight. Drink at least 250ml of water in the morning, as soon as you wake up, to hydrate your body and have a bottle with you throughout the day.
3. They talk to themselves
It may sound ridiculous, but it’s actually effective. Asking yourself a simple question on a daily basis is very empowering. The question is, “Will this option bring me closer or further away from my goal?” This can help you when you are wondering whether to go out for a walk or sink into your couch. You can take this practice a step further by recording your next goal, for example wearing your favorite dress again at the wedding you are invited to.
4. They see walking as more than just a means of transportation
They are essentially focused on doing as many steps as possible during the day. In fact, walking helps reduce abdominal fat. According to research, moderately active individuals reduced abdominal fat accumulation by 7% more than those who moved less.
5. They are concentrated
Turn off the TV, turn off the laptop and just focus on enjoying your meal as much as you can. Try to eat at least one meal a day without worry, and then observe how it makes you feel. A study published in Appetite Magazine found that people who ate their meals more peacefully were more likely to lose weight over the next 12 months than those in the control group.
