The best massage oil for relaxation

Components

  • 25 ml of almond oil
  • 25 ml of grape seed oil
  • 10 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil
  • 10 drops of sandalwood essential oil
  • 10 drops of water essential oil

Instructions

Put all ingredients in a bottle (preferably glass, about 100 ml capacity), close and shake until well joined. The oil you make is suitable for foot and head massage.
“All essential oils must be biological for the best health of the body and mind,” says alternative therapist Costas Vassias.

Ideal for…

Relaxation. Neroli, the essential oil made from jasmine flowers, has antidepressant and sedative properties while the ylang-ylang combats anxiety, fear and calms the nerves.
Stimulation of libido. Sandalwood essential oil and ylang-ylang are known for their aphrodisiac properties.

TIPS FOR RELAXING MASSAGE

Put a teaspoon of the oil mixture in your hands to warm it in your palms.
  • Feet (back)
Start with loose, upward movements from the soles to the buttocks with your fingers and palms shaped like the surface of your foot.
  • Feet (front)
Light massage from top to bottom from thigh to knee. Continue massaging the inside of the thigh diagonally upwards using alternately hands until you reach the top of the thigh.
  • Underbelly
Belly massage in the so-called Hara is ideal for general euphoria relaxation and very good for constipation. Massage the area circularly as the clock markers go
  • Skull
With a sufficient amount of oil on your hands, lightly rub the roots on the skull until the oil is absorbed by the hair and the skull. These movements do very well in headaches.
  • Face
Gentle movements throughout the face, circular movements around the eyes and gentle pressures on the eyebrows.
  • Hands
Upward massage of the fingers to the top of the hand, focus on the fingers and palms
