A new study by Harvard Medical School found that dads who trained before their child’s birth had a positive impact on his long-term health. In particular, the child’s metabolic health is affected up to adulthood. Some of the indicators taken into consideration are glucose metabolism, reduced weight and fat.
Dad’s exercise helps the child’s health in the long run
“It has been shown that exercise by the father is an important factor in the health of the child,” said Dr. Goodyear. Finally, experts agree that more research is needed to find out which type of exercise is most beneficial and how long before conception.
